SoCo Rescue has a heartfelt mission: to rescue, heal, and rehome abused, neglected, and abandoned companion animals—giving them the second chance they deserve. Located on a peaceful property in Tarrytown, Georgia, our rescue serves a region with limited animal control and shelter services. Dogs and puppies are abandoned daily with nowhere to turn. SoCo Rescue is there for them—offering safety, care, and love when they need it most. Every month, our Freedom Ride transport heads from Georgia to New Jersey, where we hold adoption events at Tractor Supply in Ringoes or Dogs & Cats Rule in Pennington. Welcomed by our devoted foster families, these dogs begin their path to finding loving, forever homes. There is nothing more joyful than seeing one of our rescue dogs find their person. Watching tails wag and families grow, we are reminded, again and again, why this work matters. Love saves lives—and at SoCo Rescue, we’re honored to be a small part of that journey.
