Established as a private social club in 1935 in Rahway NJ, the Deutscher Club has become the largest German Club in New Jersey. We continue to this day promoting German Heritage, traditions, and Gemütlichkeit.

We moved to our current location of Clark NJ in 1950 and have continued to build on the original farmhouse to what you see today.

We are open five days a week and schedule a multitude of events throughout the year, open and private. In addition, our restaurant is open Thursday, Friday and Saturday to members and their guests.

We hold approximately ten outside events throughout the year that are open to the public and draw over 1,500 people into our beautiful grove.

The Deutscher Club will continue to be an “Oasis for German-Americans in New Jersey”. Due to the dedication of the Executive Board and its members, we can all be proud of what has been accomplished.

Improvements and maintenance have been an ongoing priority throughout the years to keep our club pristine, and we are now in need of a resurfaced parking lot to accommodate our members and guests. As with past maintenance projects, this is only possible through the generous donations of time and money by our members.
